The lush green of Assam in Northeastern India is characterized by a great river: the mighty Brahmaputra. It changes its course every season and sets vast areas under water. The life-giving power of the river is reflected in the vast forests rich in exotic flora & fauna, lush green tea gardens and rice fields.
Kazrianga National Park is also located in Assam and was appointed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. In our opinion the most beautiful National Park of India, it is home to the rare Indian Rhino. There are numerous other game parks and nature reserves in the state. A trip to Assam offers a wealth of unforgettable memories in a country that is like no other in the world.
Come visit Kaziranga National Park, quaint villages, the world’s biggest river-island, lush jungles and tea-gardens that reflect Assam’s colonial past with us. Or enjoy a luxurious cruise on the mighty river Brahmaputra.
Ideally from November through April. From June to September the stormy monsoon and Brahmaputra’s flooding make Assam not suitable for travel. Due to flooding by Brahmaputra, the Kaziranga National Park is closed from May to early November. Some parts of the park may be open to visitors in October and May.
