When to visit

North India enjoys favorable travel conditions year-round, but temperatures can exceed 30°C from April to October. The monsoon season, from mid-June to September, brings substantial rainfall, while the winter months (November to February) offer cooler temperatures ranging from 20°C to 25°C during the day and 5°C at night.

For trekking in the Kangra region near Dharamshala, the best time to visit is from April to June and mid-September to November, when the weather is most conducive to outdoor activities.
