Description

Embark on two easy-to-moderate treks in the Garhwal Himalayas, spanning 4-6 days with 3-5 hours of walking each day. Experience alpine meadows, scree slopes, glaciers, and boulders at altitudes reaching up to 14,764 feet. Overnights include 9 nights in tents, 3 nights in a permanent tented camp, and 4 nights in simple hotels.

The Garhwal Himalayas, bordering Tibet, Himachal Pradesh, and Nepal, are a sacred region known for its pilgrimage sites and cultural diversity. The treks will lead you through breathtaking landscapes, including forests, meadows, and glaciers, with views of towering peaks over 19,685 feet, such as Shivling, Bhagirathi, and Kedar Dome. Along the way, you’ll encounter wildlife like Bharal (blue sheep) and experience local villages working on community projects, addressing issues like water shortages and malnutrition.
