Festival Calendar of Ladakh

When to visit Ladakh

The ideal travel period is from May/June to September/October.

During July and August, the peak season, daytime temperatures can exceed 86°F (30°C), while nights can drop by as much as 36°F (20°C). The snowline typically lies between 18,044 ft and 19,685 ft during this time
Snowfall: Starts in late October and lasts until mid-March

For those interested in cultural experiences, traveling during the off-peak season is also a great option, as the climate is very dry and rainfall is scarce.

Notably, Ladakh is the only region in all of India that remains unaffected by the monsoon.
