Explore Ladakh, one of the world’s highest inhabited regions, renowned for its Tibetan Buddhist culture and breathtaking landscapes. This journey combines two 4-day treks (easy-medium difficulty, 2-6 hrs walking per day), visits to Ladakh's famous monasteries, high mountain passes, lakes, and remote villages, providing a deep cultural experience. Accommodation includes homestays, tented camps (from May), and hotels. Max altitude reached: 4800 m during trekking and 5359 m during cultural visits.

Welcome and transfer to the hotel.
Overnight in Hotel.
Upon arrival at Leh airport (11,500 ft / 3,505 m), our representative will warmly welcome you. You will be transferred to your pre-booked accommodation. Check-in at the hotel and take some time to rest, allowing your body to acclimatize to the high altitude. Evening visit to Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, and Leh Market.

After breakfast, embark on an excursion to Indus Valley. Visit attractions such as Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, Hemis Monastery, Stok Palace, and Sindhu Ghat. Return to Leh for an overnight stay.

Drive to Liker (10,827 ft / 3,300 m), which is 45 km away from Leh on the Srinagar Highway. At Liker, visit the monastery atop a hill upstream of the village. As you begin your trek, you’ll come across Yangthang and Sumdo villages after crossing small passes such as Phobe La (11,646 ft / 3,550 m) and Charatse La (11,972 ft / 3,650 m).

After breakfast, trek towards Hemis Shukpachan (12,204 ft / 3,720 m), which is a relatively short walk and involves crossing Tsermangchen La (12,205 ft / 3,720 m) to get to the village. The village has its own beauty, with a rich cultural background, myths, and mysteries. You can also take a 3-hour walk to Dakmar, a small lake situated adjacent to the village.

Today will be a bit of a longer trek since you’ll be crossing Maptek La (12,303 ft / 3,750 m), which has a great view of its surrounding valleys and mountains. Soon after crossing the pass, you’ll get sight of Ang village. From Ang, the road leads down to the Temisgam village, which has ruins of a historical fort and a small monastery enshrining the highly sacred marble statue of Avalokitesvara.

After breakfast, drive to Lamayuru (11,512 ft / 3,510 m), en route visit Temisgam Monastery & Lamayuru Monasteries.

After breakfast, set out on a journey to Aryan Valley. Depart from the Srinagar Highway, tracing the Indus River's course until reaching Achinathang. Continue the drive to Beema village, exploring villages like Domkhar, and Skurbuchan, and the villages of Dah-Beema, inhabited by the unique Drokpa people. Engage with the locals, gaining insights into their daily life and the adaptations crucial to their seasonal lifestyle. The Drokpa, with pure Indo-Aryan descent, maintain their racial purity and distinct cultural characteristics.

After breakfast, drive back to Leh, en route visit Alchi (10,741 ft / 3,275 m) & Likir Monastery (11,919 ft / 3,630 m).

Trek from Shingo to Sku (11,500 ft / 3,505 m) and then transfer back to Leh.

After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley, 10,000 ft (3,050 m) via Khardungla, the highest motorable road in the world at 18,380 ft (5,602 m). Take short breaks at roadside cafes and scenic points for photography. On arrival, check-in to the hotel/camp. Post-lunch, enjoy a camel safari with double-humped camels unique to Ladakh and Mongolia at the Sand Dunes between Deskit & Hundur Village.

After breakfast, drive to Thang 10,200 ft (3,109 m), the last village of India on the India-Pakistan border, captured by the Indian Army in the 1971 war. Enroute, visit Turtuk 9,000 ft (2,743 m) and Tyakshi.

After breakfast, drive to Sumur (10,500 ft / 3,200 m), visit Samstanling Monastery, Intsa Monastery, and Panamik Hot Spring.

After breakfast, depart for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft / 4,420 m), with a drive of 6–7 hrs. Upon arrival at the camp, enjoy leisure time and witness the color-changing lake and the sunset on its banks.

In the morning, after breakfast, drive to Tsomoriri Lake (15,075 ft / 4,600 m) via Chushul and Tsaga La. Arrival at Korzok village by evening.

Take a walk around Tsomoriri Lake to enjoy the scenic beauty. Later, drive to Tsokar Lake (14,436 ft / 4,400 m) via Puga (Sulphur Mine). The lake is partially saline and surrounded by marshlands, making it an important habitat for migratory birds, including the rare black-necked crane.

After breakfast, drive to Leh via Taklang La Pass, 17,585 ft (5,359 m), one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Arrive in Leh by evening.
