Trekking
Delhi – Dhalaudhar Region – Dharamsala - Delhi View Location
Explore the untouched nature and culture of Himachal Pradesh on a trekking tour through the Dhauladhar mountain range. This scenic journey offers views of the Himalayas and insight into the lives of indigenous peoples and Tibetan Buddhism.
The trek takes you through oak, rhododendron, and fir forests, along riverbanks, past waterfalls, and over meadows to picturesque lakes. With a maximum altitude of 3200 m, the route is physically manageable with ample acclimatization. For more adventurous travelers, customizable options extend to heights of 3765-4200 m.
Along the way, you'll encounter local semi-nomadic communities and explore the region's colonial history in Dharamshala, with its British-era architecture. The area also holds deep Tibetan cultural significance, as the Dalai Lama resides here. Visits to his temple and the Norbulingka Institute provide a deeper understanding of Tibetan traditions.

The ideal time for this trekking tour is from April to June and from mid-September to late November. During these periods, you can expect relatively low rainfall and moderate temperatures, making for optimal travel conditions.
For our Dhauladhar winter trekking, which takes place in lower-altitude areas, the winter months also offer excellent conditions.
