Ladakh (India) Cultural Tour: B.H. of Switzerland said

India, Ladakh Cultural Tour We really enjoyed the round trip. The landscape is breathtaking, especially the lakes in Ladakh and the glacier landscape in Zanskar, and we handled the altitude well. We were lucky with the weather. It was mostly sunny, up to 35°C. Occasionally, a few raindrops, and at Tso Moriri at 4600 m, we had rain at 5°

Sikkim & Darjeeling Tour Our journey through Darjeeling and Sikkim has been wonderful so far: Buna is an excellent driver and safely navigates us through the bumpy, narrow, and unfortunately damaged roads. The accommodations are all great, and we were especially touched by the warm welcome at the homestays and now at the beautiful Bamboo Retreat. You have really accomplished something amazing there! My friend Annie is also a fan of Vandana Shiva and has met her once in France. Thank you for the wonderful route."

Premium Journey to Darjeeling & Sikkim: “We’ve just returned from our trip to Darjeeling and Sikkim. Thank you for organizing the trip; we had a wonderful time at the Bamboo Retreat (Sikkim). We enjoyed the evening by the fireplace (and the hot water bottle reminded us of our childhood). The staff was very friendly and attentive. We loved the day trip to Tsomgo Lake (and the highlight was the hike to the viewpoint, where we had fantastic views of Mt. Khangchendzonga). The walk through terraced rice fields where we could watch the farmers at work, and the monastery visits were also very interesting. The traditional outdoor bath was also a highlight! The food was also very good. In Darjeeling, we really enjoyed our stay at the tea garden, the visit to the tea factory, and the hike to the river and suspension bridge.”

India, Darjeeling, Sandakphu-Phalut Trekking “…the trekking tour was a highlight of our trip. We were completely satisfied. In particular, our guide was friendly, sympathetic, cheerful, and very helpful. Thanks to his good English, he could tell us a lot about himself, the surroundings, and the local life. What particularly stands out is the fantastic food during the trek. We believe we had the best cook. We were also spoiled with the weather…”

Northeast India Cultural Tour (Arunachal Pradesh) "The discovery of Arunachal Pradesh was an unforgettable, enriching experience! We visited the ethnic communities and were able to participate closely in their lives. Everywhere, we were greeted with selfless hospitality and a warm welcome. Our two guides quickly became friends, always there for us and always full of surprises. The entire trip, this still authentic land, and the Apatanis hold a special place in our hearts! If one is ready to accept the local conditions (almost no infrastructure) and embrace the culture, a great adventure awaits, and every day becomes one! A heartfelt thanks to all of you, also for the perfect planning in advance!"

Yuksom to Dzongri Trekking Tour, West Sikkim. We were just the two of us, and we were accompanied by a guide, a cook, two kitchen hands cum poney handlers, and three poneys. The trek took place at the end of October and we had good weather and often clear visibility, no rain, and very reasonable temperatures, even if the last night up at 4300 metres did go well down into the negatives!! The price was very reasonable. It is difficult to begin to describe our trek. For both us it was a wonderful experience. Our little group of 6 was just perfect! Our guide, Tsheten, was the best guide that anyone could possibley ask for. He was accutely intelligent, spoke perfect English, was extremely safety-conscious and security-minded, and, more importantly, knew how to handle a 60 and a 67 year-old, who occasionally were a bit out of breath!! When we thought that we couldn't go on, one of the team was at the top of the path with hot orange drink and a kit kat! Perfect. We got on very well with Tsheten. To begin with we talked about nature, history, and enjoyed each other's sense of humour, but by the end we got onto such subjects as spirituality, religion ... and basically just enjoyed his company. I feel we will be in touch with him for a long time. As for the material side of things, we were provided with high quality material, tent and extremely warm sleeping bags (with hot water bottles!), and the food was so good and varied, and copious. Tsheten admitted to us at the end that he was a bit worried about us not eating enough to keep up the calories so the team went all out to give us as much choice as possible. It was all just delicious. They even made us an iced "happy trek" cake at 3000 metres. The view of the Kanchenjunga, the mountains surrounding it, and the sky at night, were sights that we will never forget. We enjoyed ourselves in the full knowledge that we were in extremely good hands, with plenty of resources.
